In the times of the CORONA VIRUS Pandemic that's creeping across the nation, many retailers are bare when it comes to the Hand Sanitizer Gel, Handi-wipes and any thing anti-bacterial- so get creative like me and try this Lifestyle Hack DIY Hand Sani Gel- as I call it!
Now that the Corona Virus has taken over daily lives with breaking news updates, sickness, worry episodes, school closings, lay off and over all stress, its super hard to find even the daily necessities we need to protect our health and survive this nightmare. I know that in times of need, it's human nature to worry about the unknown. To assume the worse will happen, but I believe with a community mentality we all can get through this even while being Socially Distant.
So last Thursday, as the news of Corona Virus started to spread, I went to my local stores, Target, Walmart, Lowes etc to look and stock up on some items (I'll show you guys my stock pile in another post- that means its too much! LOL!). I went looking for Hand Sanitizer Gel but to no avail there was none on the Shelves. So I google how to make your own Hand Sanitizer Gel and there was so many recipes of how to make your own DIY Hand Sanitizing Gel. with some simple ingredients of what I already had in my home I decided what the heck lets try this DIY!
The Main Thing in this pandemic is to maintain healthy hygiene and practices. Meaning Washing your hands to ward off sickness and in health is like getting married with VOWS. " I promise to wash my hands after every meal
I promise to count at least 20 seconds during my rinsing of hands
I promise to cover my mouth when I cough or sneeze
I promise to sanitize and keep my at home environment just as tidy to ward away Germs. " the you hear an imaginary priest say " I now pronounce you Quarantined and Safe!" LOL!!- WELL LISTEN THAT'S HOW IT SOUNDS IN MY HEAD- lol!
Anyway lets get to this DIY!
FOR HAND SANITIZING SOAP:
Use: Aloe Vera Gel (Natural from a plant or bottled )
Alcohol thats over 60%+ The Higher the %, the better at fighting germs
Empty Pump container
Essential Oil (I used Mint)
Hand Soap (lemon scent)
This homemade hand sanitizer works and smells great, saves money, and helps fight Germs!
Add all ingredients to pump container and shake!!!!!
Add desired amount of alcohol too thin your sanitizing soap to make more. Remember the gel is semi-thick and the alcohol will cut the get making it thinner and thinner with the more you add.
I even tried to order some hand sanitizing gel online from @Instacart
MAKE MINI DIY HAND GELS TO GO FOR EACH FAMILY MEMBERS!!!
To make the DIY Hand Gel Just Mix Aloe Vera Gel along with ribbing Alcohol over 60%, add Essential Oils like mint or Tea Tree Oil and shake!! (See Picture Above)
